What is a Waterbar tap flange?

A tap flange is a plastic disc with a hole in the centre. This hole is designed to fit snugly around the shower tap or mixing valve that you will be installing it around. Around this hole is an inset section, allowing it to adapt to taps and mixing valves that were not set out to the proper depth.

The edges of this section will slope outwards to our final area, the outer ring. This ring is designed to mount to the wall and create a seal. Once installed, the outer ring will be under the tile work of your shower, and the sloped section along with the inset ring will allow any water that leaks from your tap to gently be guided away from your wall cavity and back into the shower space.

What makes our tap flange so unique?

Our patented design allows the Waterbar tap flange to seal around the spindle of your tap while being recessed into the wall. These features, coupled with an oversized ring, mean no more water will be escaping from your shower or wet area into the wall cavity causing damage to your home. Our design is revolutionary, and at an affordable price, you can’t go wrong with Waterbar.

What are the benefits of the Waterbar flanges?

  • There is no longer the need for patching and sealing oversized and fractured holes.

  • It will protect the interior layers of the wall board

  • If your tap is set too far back into the wall, our recessed design will compensate for it

  • Will reduce your risk of causing costly water damage in the future

  • Cost-effective

  • The Waterbar is simple to install. It can be installed by a capable homeowner or a professional
