The Waterbar Stop Leak Flange is designed to overcome leaking taps in showers and all other wet areas. It can also bridge oversized and shattered holes in wall boards. The unique stepped sealant flange ensures the tap spindle is contained, and water leaking is directed into the shower alcove. This allows the tap spindle to be removed without compromising the waterproofing.

 Waterproofing of Wet areas, such as shower recesses, has consistently been among the most commonly recurring building defects reported by homeowners. In the case of showers, plasterboard joints (outside shower) that extend inside shower areas must be waterproofed. Showers not enclosed are to be waterproofed to 1500mm from the shower and tap penetrations must be sealed. Furthermore, tap washers must be accessible without damaging the seal around tap penetrations.
